Three Terrorists Shooting Rockets 25 September 2009

In the following video an Unmanned Air Vehicle captures two Islamic Jihad terrorists exiting a structure, carrying rockets east of Gaza City. As the two reach their launch zone, a third terrorist joins them to prepare for the attack. Subsequently, IAF forces bomb the site leading Islamic Jihad's missiles to misfire from secondary explosions.

The three terrorists hit were part of a terrorist cell that has been firing rockets into Israel for the past few weeks, including rockets that hit the city of Sderot during the holiday of Rosh HaShana (the Jewish New Year) a week ago. The names of the three terrorists are Mahmoud Mussah Rammadan Bana, Kamel Hamdan Ibrahim Dakhdukh and Mohamed Salem Barawi Marshoud. Approximately 50 rockets and mortar shells were launched at Israel during the last three months, totalling more than 250 since the end of Operation Cast Lead and more than 750 in 2009. Throughout 2008, over 3300 rockets and mortars were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel.

"Palestinian academic" Denies Jewish Connection to Western Wall

A Palestinian Authority university lecturer is the latest PA academic to rewrite history and deny Jewish history in Jerusalem - in particular, the Jewish people's connection to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of the Jewish Temple.

Shamekh Alawneh, a lecturer in modern history at Al-Quds Open University, says the Jews invented the connection to the Wall for political purposes, to convince European Jews and Zionists to come to "Palestine."

"It has no historical roots," he said on a television program called Jerusalem - History and Culture. "This is political terminology to win the hearts and the support of the Zionists in Europe, so they would emigrate and come to Palestine. Nothing more!"

The show's interviewer also refers to the "Judaization" of Jerusalem, and to Jewish plots to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Denying Jewish history in Jerusalem and the existence of the Jewish Temple is a central component of PA political ideology. This denial started with Yasser Arafat and continues to be reiterated by academics, politicians and religious leaders.

PA leaders systematically distort the ancient history of Jerusalem, ignoring the vast historical documentation and thousands of archeological finds related to Jewish history that have been found in Jerusalem.

Clip 1: This burnt-out building located in Hirbet Salim in Southern Lebanon, approximately 7 km from the Israeli border, exploded on 14 July 2009 at 0730 exposing the large quantity of munitions stored in the building. The many holes on the roof and walls attest to the destructive power of the weapons being stored and accumulated by the Iran-backed Hizbullah in Southern Lebanon. This is a clear and blatant violation of UN Resolution 1701, which prohibits the use and storage of weaponry south of the Litani River in Lebanon.

Clip 2: Footage from seven months ago shows Hizbullah militants enter and exit an underground facility used for terror activity in direct violation of UN Resolution 1701 in Southern Lebanon. Facilities similar to this were used by the Iran-backed terror organization during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. Hizbullah continues to rearm itself and build its military capacity despite a UN resolution explicitly forbidding such.

There are riots in the streets of Tehran tonight after Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was 're-elected' yesterday. The government announced this morning that Ahamdinejad had won yesterday's election, even though all the polls showed otherwise.

If anyone other than Obumbler were in power in the US, I would say this is the best result possible for the West, because it's the result that's most likely to convince the Iranian people to rise up against the Mullahs.

But given that Obama is trying to 'engage' the Iranian regime (and many reports in the US are talking about how this will 'complicate' that 'engagement') and may not back an uprising by the Iranian people, things may not be so simple.
